Cassie Abraham is a Canberra-based photographer known for her distinctive photographic style. After years of unsuccessful attempts to get a website up and running, Cassie came to me wanting a minimalist portfolio design that would finally do her work justice – clean, uncluttered, and focused entirely on showcasing her photography.
The Brief
Cassie needed more than just a beautiful portfolio – she needed a site she could confidently update and expand herself as her work evolved. The design had to be minimal enough to let her images take center stage, while being intuitive enough for her to manage independently as her style and portfolio grew.
The Solution
We worked closely together, refining every layout detail and visual element to bring Cassie’s vision to life. The collaborative process allowed us to address her specific concerns while ensuring the site would work for both her current needs and future growth. Key features include:
- Clean masonry-style grid that adapts to showcase different image sizes and orientations
- Generous white space that lets each photograph breathe
- Intuitive content management system allowing Cassie to easily add and update projects
- Simple, understated navigation that stays out of the way
- Responsive design that works beautifully across all devices
- Flexible structure that can evolve as her portfolio grows
The design philosophy was simple: create a timeless canvas that lets Cassie’s photography speak for itself, no matter how her style evolves.
The Results
After years of trying to get a website established, Cassie finally has a portfolio that reflects her vision. In her words: “The final outcome was far better than I ever expected!” More importantly, she now has full control to update and expand the site herself, giving her the independence and flexibility she needed as her career continues to grow.
